SCRIPTURIENT STUDIO

I'm a writer.  I love to write.  I also love chemistry.  That's why I got a bachelor degree in science from Oglethorpe University and a Master of Fine Arts in Writing from Full Sail University.

 

My book:  More Than I Deserve (The true life story of Pr. Eugene Mathis)

My adaptation:  PUBERTY HAPPENS (A 1950s buddy comedy based on the book, THE PUBERTY PREVENTION CLUB, by Dr. Neil Shulman)

My screenplay:  FANNIE (A biopic drama set in the 1930s about a black teacher who struggles against Jim Crow South)

 

Writing has been a passion of mine since I can remember.  Now I have credits to my name.  The background to this website shows a cover of my book, More Than I Deserve, illustrated by my daughter, Amari.   What else can I tell you about me.  Well, I started Scripturient Studio because of this passion.  And yes, scripturient is a word.  It means one with a passion to write.  That's Yours truly.

 

I live in Georgia with a husband I love although he gets on my nerves sometimes.  I love my daughters even though I get on their nerves sometimes.  And we love our cat McKenzie who gets on our nerves sometimes.  I'm sure we get on her nerves all the time.  We are just a happy dysfunctional motley crew.   Isn't everyone?
